Changes are Afoot What's in a name? Hello Managers,
As many of you are aware life has been fairly hectic for me and I haven't had the time I need to enhance the game further as I would like. Unfortunately I cannot see that changing in the short term. I do recognise that until I am able to take the development forward again the site is gradually declining as far as numbers are concerned.
There are some changes coming, outlined below. These are required partly to address declining numbers and partly to address funding the site.
Can I also add that I will continue to provide this game for as long as there are managers that wish to play it. Myself and the admin team remain committed.
Site name change.
The site name name will be changing from 'Itsagoal.org' to 'FootballClubBoss.com'.
What does this mean for you? ..... Well nothing really. It's not a reset, it's just a name change with a new web address. Your account details, logins and teams will remain the same.
The only change you will notice is a different web address and a gradual change to some of the branding. The current web address will redirect your browsers to the new one automatically, when the time comes. There is nothing you need to do.
Subscriptions
New subscribers will be able to purchase an open-ended subscription. This will be a one off cost of £8 and will entitle that manager to subscription benefits untill such time as the site is ready to make further enhancements at which point we may revert to the traditional subscription model. Existing subscriptions will run as normal to their conclusion, and the open-ended offer would be available at that time.
Donations
We will introduce a donations page. Donations from this page will go towards running the site etc. A proportion of the donataions would also be used to advertise the site to drive new managers in.
2nd accounts.
The admin team and I have decided to allow free accounts to manage a 2nd team for the time being. The same rules that apply to current 2nd teams will need to be followed which will be posted as a separate announcement in the coming days. This will hopefully lead to more competition across the leagues.
These free 2nd accounts are just that. They don't come with the other benefits that subscribers have such as name changes, playing friendlies etc.
Announcements around the details will follow in due course. These changes will be phased in over the next few weeks. If you would like to discuss the changes, then please take to the forums and we will do our best to answer your questions.
