Rules for playing Itsagoal

Rules for playing ITSAGOAL.org

The Terms of Use for playing ITSAGOAL.org include acceptance of the ITSAGOAL.org rules. The Rules apply to everyone using ITSAGOAL.org. These rules are implemented to prevent cheating, to provide an enjoyable experience and to make the game fair for all our managers.

Please take your time to read through the rules carefully. Moderators expect you to follow them and ignorance is not a valid excuse should you be caught cheating or abusing the game in any way. If you have any questions about the rules, please contact a Moderator. You will find a list of Moderators here.

1. Moderators

Moderators are defined as Boss (BOSS), Gamemaster (GM), Moderator (MOD) or Advisor (ADV).

ITSAGOAL.org is designed to be fun to play, and thus depends on trust and respect. It is against the rules to mislead Moderators in any way. Similarly, impersonating a Moderator is strictly forbidden.

2. One account per manager

Multiple accounts per manager are strictly forbidden. You are permitted to register only once. If you attempt to register more than once or persist in creating multiple accounts, we will take action against your account and may contact your ISP.

The only exception to this rule is for those managers who have been given permission to run a Second Account. Further details can be found in the General section of the Community Forums.

Members of the same family are required to link their accounts.

3. Transfers

The managers of linked accounts are forbidden from bidding on the Transfer Market for the same player.

4. Bugs

You should report bugs or temporary problems to a moderator as soon as possible after discovery.

Abusing known or unknown bugs or temporary problems with our servers is not permitted under any circumstances. Any manager caught cheating or exploiting the game in any way is very likely to be suspended or banned from playing ITSAGOAL.org.

5. Cheats

If you see or know another manager is cheating, or trying to cheat, report them to a moderator and we will investigate the situation. All information will remain strictly confidential and your name will not be mentioned at any stage.

6. Advertising of other products

It is strictly forbidden to advertise products from other companies anywhere in the game. All such posts or messages will be removed immediately and a community ban could be enforced.

7. Flooding/Spamming

Managers are not allowed to flood or spam within the community. Flooding and spamming is when you keep posting the same or pointless messages repeatedly, or within a short period of time. A community ban could also be enforced.

8. Destruction of clubs

Managers are not allowed to destroy Clubs. Examples of such behaviour would be to re-sign all players with too high contracts, in order to destroy the economy of a club, to buy poor players at too high prices while selling good players at too low prices, or to be selling off the best players of a team without good reason, etc. Any such behaviour will be investigated and may be construed as cheating. If you suspect another manager of club destruction, please report it to a Moderator as soon as possible and the issue will be addressed.

9. Consciously causing damage

It is forbidden for managers to consciously attempt to damage the game through false advertising, unfounded accusations or other misleading information directed towards the game, the moderators or ITSAGOAL.org, no matter where this takes place.

Constructive criticism is appreciated when posted in the appropriate community section.

10. Helping other managers

It is strictly forbidden to help other managers by purchasing players from their Club that you do not need or selling them players that you do need just to strengthen their Club at your expense. Deliberately losing matches to benefit another team or to damage your own is forbidden.

11. Manager accounts and clubs

Buying, selling or swapping manager accounts or clubs is strictly forbidden. Managers dealing in such actions risk losing their club or accounts without compensation.

Managers are not permitted to apply to take charge of clubs they have previously managed, until at least 15 seasons have passed. This applies to 1st/2nd accounts and any linked accounts.

12. Sanctions

Minor offences against the Rules of Itsagoal.org will be dealt with by the admin team, often via the internal message system. Very often such communications will take the form of a warning, in the hope that no further action will be necessary.

If you contravene any of the Terms of Use, we will contact you to discuss this, and may suspend your account and your access to ITSAGOAL.org. Whilst your account is suspended you will have the opportunity to discuss the issue with ITSAGOAL.org via email. If we propose to ban your account, we will explain to you why we deem this to be necessary, and will give you a chance to tell us about any mitigating circumstances.

If you persist in breaking the Terms of Use of ITSAGOAL.org, we will terminate both your account and any subscription you may have. We may also contact your ISP if you attempt to register new accounts where you have previously been banned. Where we suspend, ban or terminate accounts, we will not refund you any subscription fees or other charges that you have already paid.

Banning a manager is a last resort. Such action is not taken lightly by ITSAGOAL.org, as we recognise the time and effort many managers spend building their team. In the event of a serious breach of the rules, including a repeated offence after a suspension, and when deemed unavoidable, a ban will be enforced.

13. 2nd Account Rules

(a) Any manager who would like to create a second account must obtain approval IN ADVANCE from the Mods. To do this a thread has been created in the General Discussions forum in which you must request authorisation to create the second account and you must confirm the intended name of the account and the intended name of the club. You will be notified by PM if your request has been accepted. You must also subsequently post which league your new club is in (and details of any club change required under rule 13c). The first post in that thread will then be updated to maintain a full list of all 2nd accounts and their clubs, visible for all to see.

(b) The name of the second account must adhere to the following naming protocol to facilitate control and visibility: FirstAccountName_2nd E.g. TopGun2_2nd. Managers whose 1st account name is longer than 13 characters are asked to create a 2nd account name using the first 13 characters, followed by _2nd. No excuses will be accepted for any second accounts with names outside of this protocol and the accounts will be dealt with accordingly.

(c) The second account's club name is a free choice of the manager.

(d) The two clubs being run by one manager must be linked by the manager via Manager > My Account > Linked Accounts and must be in different leagues.
2nd accounts are not allowed to apply for a club ranked in the top 100 (as shown on the vacancy list).

As with main accounts, second account managers should not seek to apply for clubs previously managed by themselves unless at least 15 seasons have passed since that was the case. (See Rule 11).

(e) Friendly matches must not be played between two accounts run by the same person under any circumstances. This will be checked regularly and any breaches will be very strictly dealt with. Testing tactics by playing against another team you manage is not part of the deal and will not be tolerated. Organisers of friendly tournaments can decide their own rules regarding entries from 2nd accounts but under no circumstances can a match between them go ahead. If they are drawn to play each other then one team must forfeit. Again, the rules are clear, no excuses will be accepted and breaches of the rule will not be tolerated.

(f) Similarly, under no circumstances can reserve matches be played between clubs managed by the same person.
If your two accounts are drawn together in the IAG Cup or Inter Cup, you must field the strongest possible teams for both clubs for each of the formations that you have chosen. This is true even if you would regularly play a weakened side with one of the teams - both teams MUST be at full strength. The reason for this rule is to prevent any artificial advantage being given to either side.
Any transgression of this rule will result in both accounts being asked to find new teams: failure to do so will result in the accounts being banned.

(g) Managers with first and second accounts are not permitted to do any action with one account that might benefit the other one in any way. This includes, but is not limited to, playing friendly or reserve matches (as described in paragraphs (e) and (f) above) between two such teams and divulging financial information on the public forums about bids received on either team's transfer listed players.

(h) Managers are reminded that the Rules of Itsagoal state the following about transfers: The managers of linked accounts are forbidden from bidding on the Transfer Market for the same player.

(i) Any breaches of these rules will render the 2nd account invalidated and, as such, the manager will be dealt with as a standard multiple accounts case. Invariably this will result in the loss of one or both accounts and any future requests for a 2nd account will be rejected. If any manager becomes aware of a breach in any of these rules they should contact a Mod, who will take the appropriate action: confidentiality is assured.

14. Community Rules

We've established these Community Rules so that everyone can get the most out of the ITSAGOAL.org forums. These Rules protect all managers by making sure the boards are safe and fun for everyone.

(a) Forum Contributions

Normal netiquette applies. Even if there are differences of opinion, we expect our managers to be able to keep a civilised tone and act courteously towards each other.

If you spot someone who is abusive in the community or elsewhere in the game, please report them to a moderator. Our moderators have powers to remove any form of communication in the community without prior notice.

No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.
No unlawful or objectionable content: Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, swearing, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable. Apparent shouting by using ONLY CAPITAL LETTERS is forbidden.

If you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the community or annoying other managers you may have action taken against your account.

Be patient: managers of all ages and abilities may be taking part in the relevant ITSAGOAL.org community. No spamming or off-topic material: we don't allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.

No advertising
No impersonation
You may not refer to specific URLs (web site addresses) on the forums.
Deliberate misuse of the complaints facility is not permitted. If you persist in doing this, action may be taken against your account.

ITSAGOAL.org welcomes feedback, both positive and negative, about our services but please make sure your comments are in line with the above community rules. Repeatedly posting personal or offensive comments about individual members of the public or people who work for ITSAGOAL.org may be considered harassment. We reserve the right to remove such messages and take action against those responsible.

(b) Safety

We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example: telephone number, home address or email address), and please do not include postal addresses of any kind.
If you are aged under 16, please get your parents' permission before taking part in any ITSAGOAL.org discussion.

(c). About the law

You may not submit any defamatory or illegal material of any nature. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio. Contributing material with the intention of committing or promoting an illegal act is strictly prohibited.

You agree to only post materials which are your own original work. You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights.

(d). Sanctions for breaching ITSAGOAL.org community rules

If you post or send offensive or inappropriate content anywhere on or to ITSAGOAL.org Communities or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on ITSAGOAL.org, and ITSAGOAL.org considers such behaviour to be serious and/or repeated, ITSAGOAL.org may use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop any further such infringements. This may include informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school or email provider about the infringement/s. ITSAGOAL.org reserves the right to delete any contribution, or take action against any account, at any time, for any reason.
