Premier League Predictions Interest Just wanting to see/hear any thoughts related to how some have played this game before and how some maybe want more from it?
"Ye canny change the laws of physics!"
I know, sometimes changing a game or rules, or scoring system, can confuse and cause mayhem. Hence I felt, I believe I have the right system for the 2026/27 PLP season but wanted to hear if those looking to play, want more?
What do I have?
------------------
Simples, each week, a set of fixtures, choose your score predictions.
Also, choose a banker fixture, you feel is the most likely score of the fixtures selected.
After the results, you get 3pts for a correct score. If you get the right result, but not score, I'll award 1pt. Your 'banker' will see you double that score. So, those getting the right result won't benefit as much as a correct score.
What more do you want?
----------------------------
Some would argue, nothing. I'm fine with that, makes it easier for me.
I did research other games online and found the following additions, however, using them may not directly benefit us.
- if the only player to get the correct score/result, additional points added.
- draws should score more, however not 0-0 scores. Even some include options like "these should be worthless, as the game starts 0-0 anyway"
- The player with most correct scores each week should get bonus points
- Monthly additional mini leagues
- Points for entering early, none for entries after 1st game KO
- Entries sent by PM instead of posting to avoid duplication
- Additional scorers, predict 3 players to score in a fixture week and extra points for goals achieved
- red card penalties, numerous options here, including affecting actual score, to voiding any result. Would need to to change current proposed scoring system to see any penalties of red card suggestions ie if 5pts for correct score and red card ensues, then only 4pts are awarded. Becomes complex/complicated
So, anyone else seen or suggesting other additions that may be worth posting here for discussing? Feel free to add any opinion... |
