Transfer 1 year
Question

When I have the best offer in transfer market for a player and negotiate with him.
He asked 1 year and I offer 2 and a less money.
I Ignore his negotiations and always I still have the player for 1 year and more gage.
How this is possible?
Instead of 2 years its 1 year however I do not offer that ?

If it hasnt changed since the games inception, you are given i think 3 attempts to negotiate a contract for a player and if you fail on the 3rd, the board steps in and offers EXACTLY what he asks for.

Two things going on here...

1. Most of the time, a player will accept up to two more seasons than he asks for. The exception to this is if he is approaching his planned retirement, in which case he will not accept any more than he asks for. A player who isn't approaching retirement will ask for either two or three seasons, whereas one who's close to retirement will ask for one, two, or three seasons. So if a player asks for one season you know for sure he won't accept any more than that.

2. If you are top bidder and don't make an offer to or negotiate with the player, your board will often step in and simply offer them exactly what they want.

So you've tried to offer a retiring player a contract that's too long and he's rejected it, never mind the salary you offered. Then your board has stepped in at the end because you didn't reach agreement.

If you get to negotiations and don't want the player you have to actively cancel your bid or you might still get him.
