THIS ISN'T RIGHT
Who else have noticed that the way man of the matches are decided is totally unconvincing and dissatisfactory.
It is hardly given to the best performer so I want to ask, what other metrics does the game engine use to measure this?
This bring us to player match rating. Explain to me how a player who had 2 shots, 31 passes, 1 assist and 3 tackles will be rated 8 and a hat trick scorer with 5 shots, 22 passes and 2 tackes gets only a rating of 6.

I'm guessing the points system which decides man of the match is more in favour of assists and tackles than it is goal scoring,,,,, there's many little slight discrepancies with the game which are not perfect but that's the way it is,,,,, if the developer decided to change all these discrepancies I would also be guessing he would need to re-write the whole script and basically re-invent a new game

It's just provoking, you know.
Even the player match statistics aren't well detailed. It only shows passes, tackles and shots with breaking it down to passes completed, tackles won and shots on target. It would be a lot better you know.

That's football, mate. A team can and has won matches without a single shot on target. The better team doesn't always win. If anything, this doesn't happen enough in IAG. When you see teams winning all 38 matches in a season, that's simply not realistic.

Bro you're talking out of context here. Read the writeup again. I'm not even talking about anything team-related. The discussion is player based with reference pointed at individual match rating and detailed match statistics. So know what you are saying.

I think that player 'Form' seems to have quite a big influence on the player ratings, which in turn seem to have quite an influence on the the MoM decision.

I'm talking about the wider context of football in general and how stats aren't everything. It's actually quite rare for player of the match to be given to the player with the most passes or the most tackles. Football is decided in key moments when one moment of individual brilliance can win a game. The deeper you look into match stats the further misled you can be.

As with any game of skill and luck, the key to being successful is to understand the intricacies of it. If you want to win, then you need to look into other aspects of the match report. And if you just want to have MotM awards... well, good luck to you, I suppose.

Making a title of a thread in all capitals makes it look like you're shouting and aggressive, and you're more likely to get similar counterarguments. You might want to consider the wisdom of doing so in future.
