Technical ratings
Something I've noticed before but never commented on is the general low technical rating of players in the game.

My match preview for tomorrow:
-Mental: 90
-Physical: 89
-Technical: 80 (!)
-Overall: 90

Both my strikers have a technique of 93 but technical ratings of 79 and 82

I wonder whether it's because mental and physical are quite generic while all the various position-related skills are all lumped under technique, so no player is good at all of them.

What's odd is that the youth academy rating for technical tend not to be any lower than the others.

I suspect the goalkeeper has a fairly large bearing on this, though. Dribbling, marking, shooting, crossing and heading are probably mostly or all technical skills, and goalkeepers can't train them much above 20. So that's 1/11th of your team with a terrible technical score that drags the average down.
