Transfers
just had a player sign for me all by himself....
i was in for the player but once i discovered his unwillingness to sign more than a 56 day contract i decided not to continue with negotiations.
tonight after update the player has decided to structure his own contract and sign ???

Yes, unfortunately if you don't positively withdraw from the transfer your board will often go ahead and sign the player on the terms he wanted.

Especially if you are the highest or only bidder.

On the plus side, it's only going to cost you a total of about 430k to learn this valuable IAG lesson. Many other people have paid a lot more

Had a similar experience yesterday. Made a bid on a player, the club permitted me to hold talks with the player. After holding the talks and about to finalize it, my board came blocking the transfers saying that i already had enough players.
I abandoned the transfer talks since i sensed that withdrawing would make me ineligible to bid for the player again.
But after the update after 20:00, i saw a new message. I opened it and saw a 'Transfer latest' heading. I opened and saw that the player has signed for my club.
According to my secretary, 'he has already arrived at my club. So I left to ''welcome him".
