Transfer Question / Issue
I assume if you do not adjust the minimum transfer rating it will remain as zero when you transfer list your player, which is what I do, how then has a manager with a rating of -4 managed to bid and get through to negotiations on the player I am selling?

Seems like a bug to me.

I'm not entirely sure... but the minimum transfer rating thing might prevent the manager 'evceeding' that from actually purchasing the player rather than preventing hem from bidding.

Interesting though.

Is this bidder winning? (Maybe answer after bidding closes...)

He has been sold to the manager with a transfer rating of -4, thats a bit strange.

Perhaps it doesn't matter what his current transfer rating is, only that it was above 0 when he put the bid in, and he withdrew from 1 or more transfers since then? It's hard to say for certain, but at least your deal went through successfully

Overall, Club Value is one of the most important factors which goes towards your Club Rating, which in turn gets you the better staff to improve your players, 4501-5501-6501-7501 are the club rating milestones

So yes the budget does add up... If you're going bankrupt or not, the best way to keep your club value and finances up is to bring academy graduates which have +90 fixed attributes into the senior squad and sell them

The optimum club value is 100 million for maximum club rating points

Once you get your head around the factors which effect your club rating and learn to control that as best as possible (which can be difficult) plus getting your head around youth academy etc... You will then begin to fly up the club rating tables

I'm not talking about the valuations. I'm speaking of the finance, the money in the bank and the available funds man

If you go overdrawn, you will get reminded by the Board to not continue with a minus bank balance. You will also be told to sort it very soon or you will be sacked.

You cant be sacked for having a negative bank balance. The only way you can get sack is if you have less than 16 players.

I always set the Transfer rating to -10.

I don't really perceive any risk to it. Theoretically, if someone has a bad rating and makes the top 3 bids, and let's say they pull out, there are still 2 bids left. And if they were the only bidder, what is lost?

You pay the listing fee regardless. I suppose that if there were three "bad bidders" then maybe that might squeeze out the one who will go through with the transaction - but I see that as a remote possibility.

My transfer rating has dropped from 10 to 7 (was 6) due to me pulling out of two deals where the player would only accept one year contracts - But I will go through if the transfer works for me.

In fact, it seems odd to me to restrict the number of managers who could bid.

I remember when I first began playing this game, with my inexperience, hastiness and being fussy I dropped down to a -10 transfer rating,,, I was always changing my mind and maybe that was to my advantage in the long run?

Therefore I always select the lowest requirements just incase another manager has suffered the way I did at the very start and they can bid for my players and improve their transfer rating if needed
