Timing of Substitutions
I know this has probably always been the case but it is more obvious now with being able to view other teams match feeds.

When selecting subs, 2 of the options are half time (45 mins) and then 70 mins.

I would expect these substitutions to take place at the exact time (i.e. 45 mins and 70 mins) but they are always staggered in games.

For example - half time subs take place between 45-47 mins.

Subs at 70 mins take place between 70 - 72 mins.

The reason I'm highlight it as I've seen a match feed where a player has scored on 46 mins and been replaced on 47 mins (pre determined sub at half time I would suspect).

Just seems wrong that a player who isn't meant to be on the pitch in the 2nd half can score a goal and influence a game.

I'm sure this has happened on a number of occasions in other matches.

I know nothing about coding but shouldn't all the changes happen at the exact time stated when setting up sub options so it is fair for all teams?

Answering my own questions:

Could the goal on 46 mins have been in first half injury time or would this show as 45 mins on the match feed/results?

Just didn't look right when looking at the match feed hence why I raised it as an issue.

I would suggest the goal was scored in the 1st half injury time.

Ive seen some of my players who were timed to be subbed @ 70 minutes, not actually get subbed on till 72/73+ minutes sometimes, I take that as though the ref is waiting for the ball to go out of play before the sub is allowed...

Yes it was your game Scotty which is why I noticed and yes it may be that it was 1st half injury time which I suggested once my brain worked

Yeah the displaying of it does look odd tbh. But I dont know how you'd incorporate the fact that it was a 1st half injury time goal...

So Kilgour came back on for the 2nd half?

Or refused to come off as he didn't agree with the managers decision?

I wouldve thought that Kilgour scored when he did, 1 minute into 1st half added time. Then obviously my sub came in @ HT.

So the display shouldve read - Kilgour [goal] 46 minutes -

Sub - Silvy - [I like to call the little Brazillian Silvy... lol] 45 minutes -

You would then see that Kilgours goal was indeed from 1st half extra time.

As it stands, it does look like Kilgour stayed on, scored [good lad lol] and then I subbed him....

lol Im not even involved in the ME and it still looks like Im up to some kind of shenanigans lmao !!!

Just wondering, do you remember what condition was set on Kilgour's substitution?

Was it "Drawing", "winning by 1" or "Do it Anyway"...

Its a display issue/bug.

The sub shouldve been displayed as coming on @ 45 minutes, or start of the 2nd half, whatever, but not @ 47 minutes, if that makes sense...



[edit] Basically the sub entered the field of play when everyone ran out back onto the pitch, its different from the 70 minute sub as the game is live and in-play.

Except your half time score shows as 0-0...

I have no idea mate whats gone on, but maybe the question should be directed at Ron, as [I dont know if anyone has figured this out yet] this isnt my game....

One of my players got a red card on 34 mins the system then subbed my top goal scorer on 34 mins as well and I lost match in extra time 0-1
