Crucial attributes training slowly
Is it just me or is it strange that crucial attributes seem to train really slowly (max 1-2 per day):
-Goalkeepers: Handling
-Defenders: Tackling/Marking
-Midfielders: Passing
-Forwards: Shooting

Just a quirk of the game I guess but it's funny to me that your goalkeeper can get the stamina to run a marathon in a few days but takes a season to be half decent at catching.

No, I don't find it strange at all.

It's already entirely possible for a top tier club to train a suitable youth up to 90 rating in a matter of a couple of seasons. In real life, very few players have reached their peak by the age of 20, no matter how good the coaches or how good they are.

If anything, I think training should be slower. Especially, as you say, cross country.

This would not benefit me at all of course, given my reliance on training youths instead of buying pre-trained players on the market, but it would be far more realistic. It would also change the balance of the game back in favour of the TM over the YA if players trained slower.

Oh sure, it was more of an observation than a complaint. The frequency of 90+ rated players is unrealistic as it is let alone the training rate. Just thought the discrepancy was amusing.

This is the point of experience to an extent, no?

I don't like the experience bar either, to be honest with you. I have a 23-year-old who's almost maxed out on experience already, because he's played almost every game for the last 3 seasons. He'll probably be at 100 by the end of this season. Not only that, but we don't even know what effect on the match engine that experience actually has.
