Transfer Query - Contract End
Hi All

I apologise if this has been asked before and I didn't see it.

I have a player who I put on the transfer list, at the closing date he had 2 days left on his contract. After one day of negotiations, the bidder has not agreed terms.

He is now on one day. If the bidder manages to agree terms before the next update, will the transfer still go through?

Has anyone had this happen previously?

Thanks

I think the transfer will go through, but there are people with more experience than me in these matters who may know better. I'm sure I've heard of this situation before and I think all went well, but I haven't experienced it myself because I'm incredibly averse to risk taking

I'm curious what would happen if the top bidder doesn't agree terms but the second or third bidders do.

Maybe give your top bidder a prod to make sure they agree terms, or they'll lose their player.

I think....

in that case a second bidder can get the player..

But it depends on if it's day 1 or day 2 of negotiations and whether the top bidder tried to negotiate or didn't try.

However, the original question used 'bidder' so maybe there was only one in which case I've experienced a player will join anyway, but on the player's terms

Thanks all.

Roland is correct - I gave away my weak position on this - just the one bidder.
