How to renegociate with 1 year contracts
"Miyazaki End? had his contract negotiated 25 days ago. All contracts must be in place for at least 1 season (56 days) before the board will consider renegotiation."

So I bought him he only wanted a 1 year deal... I'll have 7 days to negotiate?

If he only originally wanted a 1-season contract, it seem likely he'll be retiring soon. If he doesn't announce he's hanging up his boots beforehand, you'll have the last 5 days of his contract to renegotiate with him, but my money would be on this being his final contract.

Only tangentially related but rather than start a new thread just for a moan - I've got a scout who's retiring, but I'm also at my max staff numbers. So I have to wait for him to leave and then put an advert out. I rarely bother with anything less than seven days to maximise my choice of staff so I'll be short-handed for a week.

It's quite annoying (and surely an easy thing to fix) that you can't send out adverts if you've maxed out your staff allowance.

usually players will accept 3 seasons when they ask for 1, unless theyre retiring.

Terminate his contract (you'll have to pay his wages anyway) and he'll leave immediately enabling you to place an advert.

It's not the fact he's leaving that's a problem - it's that whether it's now or in five days from now I'll be a scout short for a week while I wait for the advert to complete. Yes I could place a shorter advert but as we know, longer adverts mean more choice/better applicants.

A more pertinent example - for my second team I wanted to upgrade a few of my staff but since I'd maxed out the number, I had to fire one in order to send out adverts when really I should have been able to send out the adverts and then fire only the staff I knew I was going to upgrade.

Being one scout short for a week really isn't something worth worrying about, is it?
