youth promoted on day 56/1?
Guys, if I promote a youth today (day 56) but he replies with the evening update which marks day 1 of new season, will he count as 4th promoted last season (this high risk of rejection) or the first promoted new season (high chance he'll accept)?

There's no hard evidence that the chance of rejection increases with each youth you promote. How long has he been in your academy? That's a far more important factor.

Did you try to promote this player? Or did you wait one day?

I agree that length of time in the academy seems more important.

I also think that since the youth updates some time ago, it's easier to promote youths now.

Before the updates, I felt trying to promote too many too quickly resulted in more rejections, but it was never clear if that reset each season or whether it was just about how long since the last promotions.

But due to late developing youths I successfully promoted 3 in 6 days and another one 6 days later in the season just finished. Kane also said he promoted 7 this season! So, imo, numbers seem to have less impact now.

I waited, he's too valuable to lose him. Will see today if he joins.

I was under the impression that number of promotions matters cause I've never had first youth to promote reject even if he was in the academy for a season or so. Had multiple ones that rejected as a third one even though they'd been at the academy for 3 seasons.
But maybe it was just my luck...

I'd say wait as long as you can to maximise the chances of the youth accepting the offer.

Well today as threw me. 96 rated youth, been in the academy for just over 5 months rejects on day one. Never had youth reject on the the start of the season. I need to pay more attention lol

So then, given what FS and roland are saying - I have two players who are both due to turn 18 on more or less the same day (about 10 days hence). One is 97/97/97 and the other is 97/91/91, so more or less maxed out.

Either I let them both mature together, possibly on the same day, or promote the 97/97/97 one a bit early in the hope of spacing them out a bit. Thoughts?

I have a 17yo rated 100 and a 16yo rated 98 that will have their contracts expiring on exactly the same day as they were recruited on the same update (boy, was that a good update...) I'm going to promote them a day apart to be on the slightly safer side, which I have done before (with Friedrich and Shulichenko in my current squad) with success. You can see if this attempt will also be successful within the next 10 days.

5 months or 5 seasons?

5 months is about 2 1/2 seasons, which is getting on the risky side to my mind. I keep my youths in for at least 3.

Approx 5 months. Joined when he was 14 and rated 72. He was 17 1/2 when I promoted him. He could have been 14 nearly 15, cant remember so approx 2.5 to 3 seasons. Maybe Ive been lucky, I only promote a couple of youths per season and cant even remember my last rejection it was so long ago. I always have 13-14yr olds in my youth search and promote them when they are 16, this was the first time I've ever promoted a 17 years old and that was just to do with timing as i already promoted two youths last season

You don't say how long each has been in the academy and that might be more important than time between promotions.

I've always tried to space them out as much as I can but maybe it makes little or no difference at all

In your case, I'd want to try to promote the 97-rated player first but I'd also want to wait for him to reach 100 first... Tough choice.

The seven I promoted last season were all spaced out intermittently through the course of the season and the majority of them all had been in the academy around three seasons ish.

I did this out of necessity and to test it as I had a handful of players retiring before I did it,, maybe the retiring of players can help with the outcome? I'm not certain but 7 out of 7 is exactly what this club needed otherwise we would have taken a huge step back and be weeing into the wind with our finances or continuing to sell our wonderkids to keep up with the kardashians

Oh they have both been in for 200+ days, so I'm not worried about that really. I think I'll stick to my usual approach of buying them their first (legal) beer to go with the senior contract
