| I have an open observation to make.
Taking Firesilver's first post as an example.
I'm not saying we shouldn't make long posts and Firesilver is clearly studying the game analytically, so this isn't a criticism of him or anyone else making them, but equally, we should be perhaps wary of longer posts, as it is easier to deceive with them in my view... it can be seen a muddying the waters with lots of misinformation together.

We have 10 players in circle, but start with only 9.
Does that mean chyperhondriac will be included as a traveller perhaps? It could be crucial to determining how TG2 has set the game up.
With 10 players, we know from Page 2, that there will be ...
1 Demon
2 Minions
7 Townsfolk
0 Outsiders
However, chyperhondriac... if assigned as a traveller, would he count in the numbers or not?
This is the first thing I asked TG when he PMed me with my role. I probably should have asked publicly so it was clear to everyone. There are 7 good players, that is 5 townsfolk and 2 outsiders, and 2 evil players, a demon and a minion. I think chyper is going to end up joining whichever side is losing at the time he joins- if we catch the minion early he'll probably join as a minionesque role, if we haven't caught the minion by then he'll hopefully join the town.

Don't worry, that was just all of my initial thoughts that have been bottled up for the last several days. I will try to make my points more concise from this point onwards. I do enjoy an analytical style, that's my strength and that will be my value to the team, to help those with a less analytical view.
The posts to be wary of are those that are long and don't contain any information helpful to the other town members, in my opinion.
To be clear, that does not include your post, which is a good one. I will bear it in mind going forwards.

| Thanks TG2 and Pleasantsurprise. So much to take in early doors, I completely missed that part about chyperhondriac. | |

Yeah, 9 players is a whole different setup and slightly harder for good players to detect evil, but that's the hand we are dealt with. I think you're right about how chyperhondriac's role will be determined too.
I think the red herring is an interesting twist to the game. I don't have any opinions about it yet, as I think I need to adsorb what we are dealing with here.

There is a small problem with this, TG. Non-subscribers can't send a PM to multiple recipients. I'll copy and paste my whispers to you, but you're going to have to take it on trust that I'm being honest about it, I'm afraid. Hope that's OK.

| Some good posts already about the setup and general strategy, it helps me to get my head around what I'm looking at, although I can't say I have a clear picture yet. At the same time I'm already starting to feel a bit weary of what's going on, especially as some players seem to be wanting to gain trust from the small community we are so early on.
Another thought I have is that nominating/voting will be quite different than it was in the old fashioned mafia games, of which I played a few. As dead players are no longer out of the game, we might even get volunteers queuing for the block? This will be interesting to follow, along with voting patterns.

Oh, didn't realise that!

| I?m hoping me being in Pacific time zone doesn?t put me at too much of disadvantage for communication (or for slowing down voting). I?ll try to log in early mornings so I can be aligned with as many people as possible. | |

I'm happy to copy/paste as easy enough to do. I'm not subscribed.
