Nah, not mathematically. There's no way we'll overcome a 12 point gap with 5 games to go.

I'm afraid it would only be false hope.

Almost certainly right, but it's not impossible that you might get some encouraging points from the first three of your last five fixtures. Then again, the fat (cherry-eating) lady might start singing on Saturday.

We are down. Our mess if a football club have finally left the Premier league.

I hope there is less than 20k there on Saturday as I think this is the only way to get the message across that we have had enough. I will not be going back this season, my season ticket is going in the bin. To make matters worse the first instalment of next seasons ticket is due out on Tuesday. I bet the club have had loads of cancellations.

Moyes and co have drained the life out of our football club. He has been negative from day one. He actually thinks we are playing well in games and deserve something out of nearly every game.

I can't take anything for granted.

Everton are now guaranteed European football next season aren't they? And realistically they will stay where they are in the table so...

Palace aren't safe yet either.

City (A)
Hull (H)
Utd (A)

I'd love to see you guys beat them

So would I. There's something about 'Big Sam' that I dislike intensely.

The game is on Sky - Sunday 14th.

There are quite a few 'genuine' fans on here.

Me? I'm an armchair supporter.

Agree with both of you, Moyes has been a disaster and so negative for you and yet it sounds like the Board want him to stay

If you have any chance of getting promoted in the next 2-3 seasons you need a young talented manager and give him time to sort the club out.

Newcastle only managed to get back up due to having a manager with a good track record and chucking money at it and even after that we've needed a lot of luck as well with very few injuries. We will need to do the same in the Premier League just to stay up as the gulf is getting bigger and bigger.

Not that I want to depress you both but Newcastle are only the 2nd team to bounce straight back up in the last 6 seasons

Unlike a lot of Newcastle fans I'd like to see you and Boro sort yourselves out and get back in the Prem (assuming barring a miracle that Boro will go down).

I'd also like to see Big Sam get relegated, a very unlikeable individual.

Unfortunately if Hull get relegated Silva will be snapped up by another club because he has worked miracles since arriving.

Yes, he's being 'linked' with all sorts of clubs. (Just paper talk I reckon)

But really, why would he want to go and manage the likes of Southampton (no offence Saints fans) when he could really enhance his reputation with another Premiership season at Hull City?

It depends on what your definition of 'Fans" and "Armchair Supporters" is.
