Bruce has gone from City apparently and is favourite to rejoin the Mackems.

Anyway, he's a far better manager than David Moyes.

We are in a mess ozzy.

Four first teamers out with long term injuries. 2 others struggling to be fit for the start of the season. Only one fully fit recognised striker (even then there was a training injury scare for Hernandez.)

The owners son ( ) won't sanction any transfers - come back from illness quickly please Assem Allam. at least you had some affinity with Bruce - I'm not sure what he's trying to prove here.

Unless it's some cunning plan to get a top class foreign manager in...(but the word is that Mike Phelan will step up from AM... )

Shambles

Not what you need this close to the season.

I've heard a rumour that Giggs may be in the running but not having any transfer funds will put loads of candidates off.

I don't get it really. No-one in their right mind would want to manage City in the state they're in. I can understand the owners wanting some return for the money they put in when rescuing the club but come on, we're getting over 100m from Sky alone this season. (League parachute payments are foregone for promotion that's why it's not quite the 160m + being touted - but still...)

And a sustained prescence in the PL will only increase the clubs value.

Well quite.

Invest now, keep Premiership status for a year or 2 and then let some Chinese/Russian billionaire buy it...

Currently in the frame for the job:

Mike Phelan - good coach, probably not a manager though

Roberto Martinez - I'll take him

Steve McClaren - please God no!

Manchester United home is our first game tomorrow afternoon, just maybe we can surprise them at Dean Court again just like last season. They will almost certainly be stronger than last season but then again we might be as well. Disappointed to lose Matt Ritchie to Newcastle but it's a good move in the long run for him presuming Newcastle go straight back up.
