| Two of my 16 year olds have been flat lining on 64 for the last two and a half seasons. One is "a strange one" and the other is "a great kid" from whom we will "see a lot more".
I'm expecting big things in this last season

I have one of those Strange Ones who hasn't increased for 2 seasons but I will be keeping him in the academy just as an experiment really to see what happens.

| Found a balanced 72-rated 14-year-old goalkeeper today, so it looks like I'm going to have to promote my 99-rated youth a couple of weeks earlier than I'd hoped to. He's been in the academy for around 3 seasons so I'm hoping it's enough for him to sign a senior contract. Got everything crossed... | |
|
| Boye turned out nicely- lowest FA 93- and freed up space for the balanced 72-rated keeper who has gone straight in his place | |
|
| I've successfully promoted 5 youngsters into the senior team thus far this season. Only two of them are 80+ fixed attributes but the other three will be valuable squad players or possible sales in the future
There's a possibility of one more player getting promoted if his birthday is before the end of the season? I can't remember exactly
All these players have been in the academy for around 3 or 4 seasons just for everyones information, just incase anyone needs to do a similar thing in the future,, certainly five or six players is possible to promote within one particular season,, maybe more?
|
| Seagulls would like to welcome Sadao Sugiyama to the Youth Academy. 14 years old, and on arrival was rated 91-92-93. Made a surprising but very welcome change from what had been served up for the last few months. | |
|
| 6 out of 6 successfully promoted into the senior squad this season and i possibly saved the best until last without knowing it,,, Penchev, Bulgarian both footed striker came out all 90s | |
|
| 7 out of 7 academy players successfully promoted to the senior squad this season. Marco Insua, Argentinian right sided full back needed an early promotion to make way for a very promising striker,,, Insua made atleast 80s fixed attributes at 16 years old,,, very happy with him
I also have a full youth academy again now but 9 scouts who are gonna be doing nothing for two or three seasons.... I guess I'm gonna have to send them out and spy on everyone next season lol
I've got enough scouts free to spy on all the champions outside of Italy

Well, due to most of them having reached their peak before turning 18 I've promoted them all early - and my how they've impressed me. Only Ripley disappointed given he was all 90s, but he's still plenty good enough for my team.
There's a lot of potential cash there but there's also a strong spine for my team, even if I can't get anywhere near their potential. Decisions, decisions...

Very nice! Was that 5 out of 5 all in one pop? You're sitting on a gold mine now lol... Hopefully my next batch will be just as good as this one for you

Not all in one go, but over a couple of weeks. Yes, could get a lot of cash for them but the question is what I'd spend it on...would have to be very lucky in the transfer market if I was spending it on players.
For now I think I'll hold onto them and see how it goes
|
| I'm not going to quibble about Proctor's 91 work rate attribute even though he was rated 100 in the academy, just relieved that he promoted with all 90s+
Meilleur will be up for promotion next week and he's currently at balanced 98 with one more update to improve...

| Dear Chyperhondria2nd,
Just a reminder that the contract for youth forward, Gareth Logan, is now due for renewal. His contract expires in the next few days.
After supervising his training, our youth coaches report that Gareth Logan has taken everything he can from the academy. He is ready to move on.
...the kid is rated 25 | |

16 - joined rated 14 at 14, improved steadily and now...a damp squib

| Somehow the 98-rated youth has a better lowest fixed attribute than the 100-rated youth.
Still, that's my frontline sorted for the next 10-15 seasons

| I've never posted in here before, mainly because I've had nothing to get excited about. But over the last five or six weeks, I've had a youth player (was 14, now 15) move from 32,32,32 to 71,71,71.
He's been in the academy since he was 12, and I'm scared stiff of losing him!
Is there any correlation between ratings and acceptance? I'm working on the assumption that if he stays until he's 18 he will go higher in ratings, though at his current rate of growth, he'll hit 99 across the board before he's 17.

I believe in older versions of the game there was a (negative) correlation between youth rating and acceptance rate - or youth rating compared to your club rating, or something like that.
However, nowadays it seems the main determining factor is length of time in the academy. Possibly the number of promotions you've done recently too, but that's less clear.
Almost all my youths start at 13/14 and I've only ever had one rejection. If you've had him since he was 12 then you should be okay

You may have a perfect player on your hands (100 across all 3 facets). I've only ever had 1!
Good luck! | |
