| Maria Pogor STK just turned 17.... he has 99/99/99 and I hate to say it but I'm already planning his 18th birthday party next season... | |
|
| Seven of my last nine promoted youths have come out with FAs in the 90s- perfection. As a Trekkie, I find this immensely satisfying. | |

There are 9 days left on his contract now, and the youth coaches say he has taken all he can from the academy. Any chance they're wrong? Can I get him to 100?
Clicked the Promote Button.
Let's see...... I'll be anxious all day now!

Oh! Stuart Dixon. What a thing of beauty,
Wrapped in bubble wrap and cotton wool, Stuart arrived today at MERs training ground and showed his immense potential. All 90s FA, with the lowest being 94 (ignoring loyalty - he's had three girlfriends in the last five minutes).
Sadly, he won't be around long enough to see this club transform, but he will pay for it.
I shall list him immediately!

| Tom Tallis Welsh striker
Age 13 slotted nicely in my academy
63-63-63
Fingers crossed | |
|
| I had a youth increase by 15 points this evening, never seen such a jump before. | |

| Is it just me or is anybody sitting on around 8-10 top tier youth players in their academy at the same time? | |

I'm expecting a good crop within the next season or two if they all successfully promote,,, better than the crop I had most recently,,, yeh nearly a full teams worth of minimum 80s

also Benje, I'll be keeping that 67 rated player Eugenius Spoor I bought off you in my second season for +10 mil until he retires lol, 30% sell on clause pffft
He has been a pretty decent servant to the club though, ever present and never been injured

Mine are currently rated 84, 74, 62, 42, 76, 95, 68, 95, 95, 84.
All the ones rated below 80 are 15 or younger and almost perfectly or perfectly balanced, though.
|
| I have a perfect 99 striker and also a perfect 97 winger, now that 90+ rated players are so common in the game the question has to be what happens when all managers end up with similar team ratings will the results come down to sending offs and injuries to decide games or will they have to somehow introduce a new ceiling for top players I honestly cant see where this game can go to in the future. I hope they have some plan worked out to keep the game going | |

It's an interesting observation.
If a tweak doesn't happen to the coding to reduce the number of 90s FA youths, then the market will have more high quality players, this will reduce their value as the scarcity of the resource reduces.
In terms of match results, it'll be down to tactics and luck. Initially I thought this'll make it more difficult to reach the higher echelons of the game as the potentially gains from developing youth players (and resets) are lower, but that also means that quality players become more buyable for the upper mid tier clubs.
|
| I'm not sure I agree. While it's easier to produce 90+ FA youths now, you still need the coaches to get them to actual 90 rating, and not everyone has them. I, for example, have a first team made up entirely of 90s FA players but I can't break the 7501 barrier to actually get them there- so I'm left a few points short on my previews compared to the teams at the top of my division, making it still harder to break the barrier.
It'll level out the playing field a little, certainly, but there's still going to be teams that can make the most of their youths and those that can't.
|
| What's more, you occasionally get youths come out like Kioyo. Rated 95 in the academy but he turned up rocking 5 FAs in the 80s and a lowest of 81 | |

Have to disagree...
The game is tough, and to have squads of 90 rated players isn't just about achieving this. Paying for them, managing finances, wages and competing basically - make this all tough. Players also age, and decline. Maybe you could suggest they recline more, instead of suggesting code to stop high quality players emerging. Decreasing the value of players at an age of variation, may make managing players and releasing them, a much more unique management game.

I know, I do love a 30% sell on, those unexpected funds that drop once twice a season, very sweet

Looks even worse than my most recent youth promotion, J. Parkar, who was also rated 95 in the academy with 98/95/92 (not necessarily in that order). What were Kioyo's ratings?
|
| I deleted them once he promoted, but from memory, he was 100/94/92, so it's somewhat understandable. Doesn't make me feel any better about it though- the game is really kicking me in the nuts this last week. Loss in the cup on penalties, several awful League result and this... seems that once a season everything goes wrong for a week | |
