I've had youths improve by one point after that kind of message, but never any more.
I used to puzzle over the messages but now I just always renew unless I'm told they've reached their peak. | |

| I have a 15 Yr old rated 24, 24, 24, and according to the reports, we are going to see alot more of him, but I got the same message last season and he hasn't improved at all. Is it worth persevering with him, even if he does improve, what gains would I realistically see? | |

While he's still got totally balanced youth atts, I'd definitely keep him. He'll improve for sure. Reassess when he's reached 50+. | |

| Eddie Wayne promoted last week. Rated 92 (94/91/91), quite disappointing to see him promote with lowest atts of 80, 81, 81, 82, and only one over 90.. I feel I've had a run of many unlucky youths the past few seasons. Fingers crossed the future promotions improve. | |

| Do youths promote at 18 if you are at full squad size?
I just had one turn 18, lowest FA of 82 and he disappeared with no message.
I know you can sign players you have already bid on and have more players than your max squad size... So I assumed there was no risk with youth promotions, but maybe I just learned a $8M mistake | |

| Same thing happened to me a couple of seasons ago, except my guy was likely to sell for more than 8M. Lesson learned, don't do it again!

No, they don't. It happened to me once too. I had a full squad, a player was approaching 18 but I wasn't sure exactly which day his birthday was, I transfer listed a player to make space but I was a day too late and the youth left.
To be fair, that is how things should work. | |

You're right, in most cases that's what happens. But there is an exception, that seems like a bug in the code, where under certain circumstances a player you've bid for, may join your squad even when already at max size. It happened to me once by accident. I put it in the bugs forum at the time. | |
