After searching for ages, not one but two (almost) perfectly balanced fullbacks turn up, 55 and 60 at only 13! It's worth the wait sometimes

Can youth players actually get to 100? I have 2 who are both 99-99-99-99, 1 who i could promote now and the other who is about to turn 16. If 100-100-100-100 is possible i will hold on for a few days before promoting.

They definitely can. There are quite a few posts in this thread from managers who have promoted 100-rated youths.

An extra bit of advice for free: Don't rush to promote youths when they turn 16, keep them a bit longer if you can, especially if you've only had them for one or two seasons. Longer time in your academy seems to increase the chances of promoting.

As an additional thought to Roland - what difference a 100-rating at youth level makes compared to 99, or 95, or even 92 (assuming everything is balanced) is unclear, to me at least.

For me, 100 is nice to have but anything in the 90s generally proves to be good enough.
