Definitely not today. I will release names when the time is right, depending on how people react to this information. The point of this post at this time is to make the evil team feel uncomfortable tonight, because I believe we're about to lynch a town member and they will be feeling far too happy if I'm right. I don't want them happy. I want them sweating.

The minion cannot whisper to his demon for help either at the moment. He will feel alone and worried, and that's how I want him.

My plan at the moment is to release at least one and possibly both names tomorrow based on what happens overnight and what people say in response to this. I also need to do some whispering first.

I would never do this in a normal mafia game because I would just die overnight and my information would be lost to the town before it's fully revealed, but if I do die tonight in this type of mafia game then I can still share the information in the thread. It's great.

Interesting stuff. I'm curious what you come up with on day 2.

As I'm in a different timezone I'm trying to speed things up.

Do you want to sacrifice yourself or not? If you are the librarian or the drunk you should want to be killed. It is the best result (other than lynching the minion or demon of course). If you think Berry is town than you should be pushing to be killed to save him. Your inconsistency on wanting to be lynched is so confusing.

Here is how I see it. Its a 50% chance you are drunk. and 25% for the other two. If we have an undertaker they can confirm the lynched character, and solve lots of problems. Unfortunately the Undertaker may not be in play and it could also be faked to sow more confusion.

Getting a vote of 8 on an evil character is next to impossible (a mistake would have to be made or a bluff would have to go sideways). So were should be able to get to 7 on HanSo7o if the town decides we should try to save BerryStraw who has a chance to become more useful (if he isn't evil).

Everyone can still change there vote. This could be a toss up for a tie at 6 (to not lynch anyone) or a 7 to lynch HanSo7o.

Will be interesting to see if the vote is tied 6 v 6, will HanSo7o lynch himself (by voting hands up) - even though there is a 50% chance he is drunk?

We also haven't considered that HanSo7o may be poisoned and thus we may not have a drunk at all!

The sun has risen on yet another gory scene by the clocktower. This time it is the barely recognisable, mangled, body of Euro that you find hanging there. Euro died in the night, and the Demon is still at large, time is of the essence!

Hello everyone, good to be here Nice place this but you'll need to update TripAdvisor's top 10 things to do to to remove the clocktower...definitely not a sightseeing location right now.

I've only been partly keeping abreast of the thread due to life but a few points to start with - apologies if they've already been made.

HanSo7o - probably not a bad choice to get rid of, seeing as they were at best a townsperson who had all the information they were going to get. Voting for themselves is also a pretty townie move, so I'm erring on believing them

JustSuper - as has been said, either very inconsiderate townie play or a lurking evil...but I would expect a lurker to put up slightly more of a defence than just a bit of sark. It would be easy to play the "I'm so confused, just working out what's going on" defence. For that I'm coming down on the side of bad townie/outsider

Firesilver - basically claiming the investigator role if I read it right? That could be taken at face value, or it could be a bold Demon play, knowing the investigator isn't in the game...perhaps even being willing to name the minion as a bargaining chip to earn our trust.

That's all for now, the rest of you have been very cagey...which speaks at least pages, if not volumes.

But i am genuinely confused. This is different to all of the other Mafia games i have played. In other Mafias we found out if a townie or Mafia was executed but we haven't even been told if Han was a Townie or Mafia? Maybe i am the only one who has played the old Mafia games here?

Also how is it inconsiderate to not contribute when i have nothing significant to contribute? At the end of the day it was day 1 and everyone started throwing fire at each other immediately. This is not typically how you play Mafia games guys. The aggression of BerryStraw and strange comments along the lines of "Im sure this will be the last i see of you" makes me suspicious of BerryStraw and i dont understand why everyone changed their vote from BerryStraw to Han.

If you want contribution my contribution is BerryStraw being mafia as he seemed very desperate to vote me off (Not like the others who also were suspicious of me but didnt make a whole song and dance about it). To be honest though it would have been easier if we found out if Han was a Townie or Mafia like in previous Mafia games.

Also i would like to mention i have a full time 9-5pm job (Currently messaging during my break that I shouldnt be taking), so if it appears i am not messaging that is the reason why. I also have other commitments like seeing friends. In all honesty i thought i would have time to play since work is usually slow (yes i was intending on playing whilst at work), however work has picked up a lot recently.

Right, time for me to get to business.

As I mentioned yesterday, I need to whisper BlueBoar quickly to follow up on something I whispered to him on Day 1, but I am going to share the following information as promised:

Pleasantsurprise was one of the two names in my PM on Night 1.

The other name in my PM I'm not revealing yet, for reasons that will become clear later in the game. Suffice to say, right now, I do not think they are the minion (although I could be wrong!)

I would advise our undertaker (if we have one) not to reveal HanSo7o's character UNLESS your result tells you specifically that he was the minion (which would require a combination of character roles that is possible, but highly unlikely in my opinion). If he was the minion, Berry is probably the demon, and I'm just plain wrong (perhaps drunk). If Han was telling the truth (and for now we probably assume he was, given that he sacrificed himself willingly, he could have tied the vote yesterday if he'd wanted to) then Berry is probably good after all (albeit probably also drunk).

On top of the fact that I'm incredibly suspicious of how PS has played throughout the game, and my Night 1 result telling me he could be the minion, if he dies and flips not drunk, Berry will then know he is drunk. We'd have 2 almost-confirmed town players in Han and Berry. We may also then learn other information as well depending on other people's roles and information.

There is another thing that gives me an inkling about PS being the minion as well, but it's not time to share that yet either.

So go on then, PS. What exactly have you been up to this game, hmm?

Blood on the Clocktower is similar to other mafia games but the handling of deaths is the key difference. You don't get anything confirmed upon a player's death but you do get a higher volume of active good sided abilities and dead players do get to keep contributing after their death (i.e. once they haven't got any left to lose) which helps offset the loss of solid info from dead players' roles being announced.

Annoyingly, I have to go to work again this evening in about an hour. I'll be back at around 2am, to see what everyone has to say, and to cross-examine PS's evidence.

JustSuper - yes, and this is why I am coming down on the side of bad/unfortunate/other synonym townie play. Lurking evil would be saying something like, I don't know, making tennis jokes.

Firesilver - you made a point near the start that you were suspicious of PS playing the "so confused" card given their pedigree with these games. I had a similar thought when I saw it.

I was specifically on the lookout for how PS would play the game given my night 1 PM, and he has not allayed my fears about him at all. That is why I'm afraid I'm going to be tunnelling on him today. Tunnelling can be an evil characteristic, but honestly at this point, I'd be happy to die if we swap my role's death for a kill on the minion. I can still post after my death, after all, and I'm sure I would have more to contribute.

PS, one other question for you: why try to change your vote on Berry at the last minute?

JustSuper, if you are able to get involved more can you give us some hint about your role or the information you have? Or even whether you do have any information right now?

Well, the hardest part of the game is to learn info, so with my demise, we're down a townie (as far as I know, no confirmation obviously, as I learned nothing too).

Like FS, I'm now seeking answers to any posts contributed by PS...

Just out of curiosity, if someone revealed their role and it was a powerful role it would mean the demon would try and kill them right?

You could be suggesting you are a powerful townie right here and now, but your earlier post moments before suggest you have nothing to offer. So, from my perspective, I'm wondering where you are heading with the question?

You also feel BS is mafia, and someone you do not trust etc.. be interesting to find out what you think after your current whsiper request with him too.

No-one yet to mention Euro is more suspicious of those posting here so far too lol...
